I hated being tortured and picked on in boy scouts, but one thing I remember from the horrible experience is to avoid being killed by coral snake you must look at the order of the stripes- red and black- friend of Jack, red and yellow- kill a fellow.
A beautiful woman and a ...snake. Something tantalizingly inviting and fearful at the same time. :-)(the snake is fearful that is!)

FYI: The coral snake is an elapid which means it is related to the cobras. It is the only venomous snake of Georgia that is not a pit viper. It has small fixed fangs in the front upper jaw of its mouth. In Georgia there are copy cats of the coral snake.These are the scarlet snake and the scarlet kingsnake. Both of these snakes are harmless but have the same body proportions and colors as the coral snake. The easiest way to tell the venomous coral snake apart from the others is the is the order of the black, yellow and red bands that encircle its body. On the coral snake, the red and yellow bands always touch. On the scarlet snake and the scarlet kingsnake, the red and yellow bands are always separated by a black band.
